S'mores Night and Home Decor
Hello everyone! The weekend is finally here. Last night, I attended S’mores Night with a few ladies from Moms' Ministry. It was a lot of fun to be able to sit around the fire pit and discuss life in the safety and vulnerability of friends. Before leaving home, I asked my daughter if she thought that I was taking too many things with me. I had on a short-sleeved top, and then I was taking a hoodie and lightweight jacket with me. She said that she didn’t know. I decided that I would throw both of them in a backpack, and call it a night. I’m so thankful that I followed my first mind. It got colder than I thought. Don’t get me wrong, I loved it. However, I was still unprepared. One of my friends brought four extra blankets and a chair.
The chairs served as a shield from the wind. And the lightweight cotton blanket, along with the fire did the trick to help my body temperature even out. Today will be a take it easy kind of day, where I will catch up on some cooking shows that have been sitting in the DVR box for a while, along with reading some books and blog posts from others. On tomorrow, I plan on going to church, and then relaxing afterwards. It is nice when we've had a long week, and the weekend comes along, when we can just sit back, relax, and breathe a little. It's been an extremely busy, but productive week. It was definitely one where I felt God’s grace and mercy.
I was blessed to be able to collaborate with two other ladies in the blogging industry. My first guest post was featured already, and the second one should be coming up next week. One of my friends has been revamping her kitchen and living room, and she bought a couple containers of vinyl stickers from Hobby Lobby to give those spaces a different look.
I was to be able to go over and give her a hand with the placement and spacing of the words. It's always good to have a second eye when you're dealing with projects like that. As an added blessing, she gave me the stickers that were left over.
Here is a look at what I chose to do with mine down below:
