My Busy Friday

Today was a super busy day.  It started off with having to get up early to be on time for doctor appointments, then errands, and then my daughter and I were able to sit down in Chick Fil-A for a late morning treat before heading back home.  Last week, I had received an email stating that I had a free eight-piece chicken nugget reward.  I couldn't wait to use it.  Any what better time to go, since we had to drive right by on the way home.

When we got home, I had about forty-five minutes of in-house cleaning to do, and then I was ready to start checking emails, getting my devotion done, and engage in networking on social media.

Around four o' clock, I decided that I would take a walk to the beach.  Four o'clock turned into five o'clock, and then five o'clock turned into 7:15, since I had to sneak in a quick nap for a quick charge.  As soon as I left out the door, heading to the beach, I reflected on why I love the early Fall weather.  It's really a combination of things: wearing a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt, feeling the cool breeze, the ability to do all kinds of activities outside without sweating like crazy, and the beautiful fall foliage.

As I was approaching the beach, I realized that I'd forgotten the three books that I was planning on donating to the Train Station Library.  What also caught my eyes were the beautiful colors in the sky.  I thought to myself, "Well, I guess I missed the sunset."  Quite the contrary.  As soon as I turned the corner, I could see the beautiful rays of color.  It had been a while since I had caught such a dramatic sunset.  I also felt blessed to be able to get a few pictures in.  No camera can do God's handiwork justice.

Lord willing, tomorrow I plan on getting a couple of Pureflix/Netflix movies in, do a little writing, and catch up on calling family and friends.  What does your simple, functional, grace-filled weekend look like?
