Today was an eventful day, and to think that it's not over yet. It started out by fixing myself a bowl of grits with chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and coconut. My son loves eggs. Therefore, I made him two omelettes with the egg cooker that I was blessed with three months ago.
My friend called to see if I wanted to join her on an adventure to Home Depot, and then back to her place to patch up holes. I agreed. When we get together, I promise you, it's always an adventure. We agreed that 12:20 p.m. is the time that we would leave my house. I figured I had just enough time to post one blog post, check a few emails, and then participate in a few blog challenges.
I attempted to republish an old blog post that had been updated with content, and for some reason, it wouldn't republish. I fooled around with it for a good forty minutes, with the end result that it republished, but only to the blog site. In turn, I had to manually repost to all my social media sites. I got this done, and we headed out the door at 1:30 p.m. She ended up having to wait a good forty-five minutes while I fixed the problem, and then got dressed into clothes that I didn't mind possibly getting paint on.
We zoomed the aisles of Home Depot, finally deciding to buy a Spackle kit, peel off Backsplash, and pretty neutral storage crates. Next thing you know, we were at her house filling in holes, measuring and putting on backsplash, and clearing off counters. We ended our adventure with a grocery store run, and then me getting dropped back off at home.
What did your simple, functional, grace-filled Saturday look like?
