Fun with Authors & The Burning Bush
Happy Monday everyone! Talk about a busy weekend! It was a good, fun busy. I attended a yearly conference for women entitled, "Swordgirl Conference", at my church. There were a total of four speakers giving their message around the topic "All Things New".
Between the high drama week that I had last week, and the soul searching that took place over the weekend, it is good to be able to start off this week at several notches lower than last week. The Lord knew that I needed it.
God is good! I was able to not only hear two nationally known authors, but I connected with three other local authors like myself. I love to see when women can get together and encourage one another in the Lord.
Because of the time that we spent together throughout the weekend, I felt like I had known them for years. As women, it is important to remind ourselves that God is a God of abundance, not scarcity. We don't need to compete. We need to lift each other up in the Lord.
On Sunday, after church, I decided that I would take pictures of the burning bush in front of my house. I couldn't resist with the drops of rain coating each leaf. I love it when God surprises me with pictures that come out better than expected.
When I place too much focus on getting them just right, that's when there's a problem. Drop a comment below telling me how you spent your simple, functional, grace-filled weekend.
